Some months ago we set out to tell the story of the Mormon Trail and those Pioneers who made it sacred. And that we have done. And now we have, in a way, come to the end of that trail; President Young and the Pioneers have found the right place to which the saints will subsequently gather. The Trail has been laid. For us today it is one thing to know of the trail and another matter entirely to know what it means. This episode gives us a sense of the place of the Pioneer Trail and the Great Mormon Exodus in our history. The scholarship of Ronald Barney, Richard Bennett, William Hartley is featured.
