Description
In the winter of 1846-47 most of the LDS were settled in temporary Winter Quarters across Iowa and along the Missouri. We’ve talked about Garden Grove, Mt. Pisgah, and Winter Quarters, but as we have said there were saints elsewhere. Among those was a group of intrepid pioneers, some of Brigham Young’s best scouts. Theirs is a story little known and seldom told. They are the saints of the Ponca Settlement. We begin June 12, 1846
