Description
When Joseph Smith went to Carthage, Illinois in June of 1844, the Latter-day Saints expected him to return. He had come back virtually from the jaws of hell so many times. Hence, their shock and devastation when, this time, he did not return. Tonight we tell the story of the aftermath of martyrdom.
