Description
Joseph Smith and the Latter-day Saints first came to Kirtland, Ohio in the winter of 1831. Kirtland, just ten miles south of Lake Erie, was first settled in 1811 and organized as a community in 1818. At that time Kirtland was just a small village built at a crossroads on the Chagrin River. The Almighty had called them there for specific purposes. In this episode of History of the Saints we will tell the story of the building up of Kirtland and of Zion in Jackson County, Missouri. For a time there were indeed two Church centers.
