Description
It was July 1838, when Joseph Smith was asked the question, “What are the fundamental principles of your religion.” And he answered as follows, “The fundamental principles of our religion is the testimony of the apostles and prophets concerning Jesus Christ, ‘that he died, was buried, and rose again the third day, and ascended up into heaven;’ and all other things are only appendages to these, which pertain to our religion.” This episode of History of the Saints is about the calling, ordination and charge of the first Quorum of the Twelve Apostles in this dispensation. The story begins June 1829, in Fayette, New York.
