Last season on History of the Saints we brought you from Carthage Jail and the martyrdom of Joseph Smith the Prophet to the arrival of the Vanguard Company right down there, in the Salt Lake Valley, in July 1847. It was not just the trail to the Saints new home, but a journey that took us all over the world. And that is where we commence. In this season opener of History of the Saints we will bring you glimpses of the Latter-day Saints from all over the world—where they are, what they are doing, and what’s happening as 1847 draws to a close and 1848 begins. Also we will give you a preview of some of the stories we will bring you this season.
